Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen and Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon have no media or public events on their schedules.

The next regular DoD news briefing will be Thursday, Jan. 4, at 2:30 p.m. in the DoD briefing studio, Pentagon room 2E781. The briefer will be Kenneth H. Bacon, assistant secretary of Defense for Public Affairs.

The Combined Federal Campaign is now in progress throughout the Department of Defense.

The department's Legislative Affairs Office maintains a separate Congressional Schedule of Events.
