Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Richard B. Myers, will conduct a press conference today in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E781 1:30 p.m. EST. Media representatives who do not have a Pentagon building pass and wish to cover this event should arrive at the Pentagon's North Parking Entrance at 1:00 p.m. for an escort. Media without a Pentagon building pass must have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz is in Washington. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

Thomas C. Foley, Director of private sector development for the Coalition Provisional Authority, will brief on private sector development in Iraq at 3 p.m. EST in the DoD Briefing Room. Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 2:30 p.m. EST for escort into the building.

Richard B. Myers, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will serve as the keynote speaker at the Salute to Military Aviation Veterans, at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum's new Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, Washington Dulles International Airport at 11:20 a.m. EST. Media wishing to attend should pre-register at http: www.regresources.com/nasm/.
