Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld hosts an honor cordon to welcome Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to the Pentagonat 11 a.m. EST. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance. Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 10:30 a.m. EST for escort to the cordon.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitzis in Washington. There are no public or media events onhis schedule.

Army Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt, deputy director of operationsfor Coalition Joint Task Force 7,andDan Senor, senior advisor to the Coalition Provisional Authority, willconduct an operational update from Baghdad at10:30 a.m.EST. This event can be viewed in the Press Briefing Room.

Air Force Gen.Richard B. Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will receive the Intrepid Freedom Award at the Intrepid Museum's 12th Annual Salute to Freedom Reception on Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. The event will be held at the Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum, West 46th Street, New York, N.Y. DoD Identifies Air Force Casualty The Department of Defense announced today the death of an airman who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Master Sgt. Jude C. Mariano, 39, of Vallejo, Calif., died Feb. 10 in Doha, Qatar. He died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
