Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld has no public or media events on his schedule.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitzwill host a Presidential Rank Awards Ceremony. Each year the President recognizes and celebrates a small group of career senior executives for exceptional long-term accomplishmentsin. This event will be held at the Pentagon Auditorium, Rm 5A1070 at 1:00 p.m. EST. Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 12:30 p.m.

To commemorate National African American History Month 2004, the Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness,Charles Abell will host a two-day DoD Outreach and Observance Program at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, Fla., Feb. 18-19. National Guard and Reserve Mobilized as of Feb. 18, 2004 This week, the Army, Air Force and Marine Corps each report a decrease in the number of reservists on active duty in support of the partial mobilization. The Navy reports an increase. The net collective result is 4,520 fewer reservists than last week.
