Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Edmund Giambastiani will conduct a press briefing at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 6900 Georgia Avenue, Washington, D.C. at 10:30 a.m. EST.  Media interested in attending should contact The Walter Reed Army Medical Center Public Affairs office at (202) 782-7177 or email to wramcpublicaffairs@na.amedd.army.mil.  Journalist must arrive no later than 9:30 a.m.  All television equipment setup must be completed by 9:30 a.m. and the following information must be provided: name(s) of all production personnel, affiliate, vehicle description, and vehicle license number.


Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates hosts an honor cordon to welcome South Korean Minister of National Defense Kim Jang-soo to the Pentagon today at noon EST. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon Mall Entrance. Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 11:30 a.m. EST for escort to the cordon.


Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England has no public or media events on his schedule.
