CONGRESSIONAL:

House Floor Action The House is scheduled to meet at 10:00 a.m. and will take up three bills:
-- H.R. 409 - to improve the effectiveness and performance of Federal financial assistance programs, simplify Federal financial assistance application and reporting requirements, and improve the delivery of services to the public.
-- H.R. 438 - to promote and enhance public safety through use of 911 as the universal emergency assistance number, and for other purposes.
-- H.R. 514 - to amend the Communications Act of 1934 to strengthen and clarify prohibitions on electronic eavesdropping, and for other purposes.
The last vote is expected to occur between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.
Senate Floor Action The Senate schedule is uncertain.
