Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta and Deputy Secretary of Defense Ashton B. Carter have no public or media events on their schedules. 

Army Chief of Staff Gen. Raymond T. Odierno; Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert; Marine Corps Commandant Gen. James F. Amos; Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Mark A. Welsh III; and Chief of National Guard Bureau Gen. Frank J. Grass testify before the Committee on Appropriations on the Department of Defense Fiscal Challenges at 10 a.m. EST, in room 2359, Rayburn Office Building, Washington, D.C.

Update:  Press Secretary George E. Little will brief the media at 1 p.m. EST in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2E973).  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the River Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.
