Military Deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology) Lt. Gen. N. Ross Thompson III and Program Manager, Future Combat Systems Maj. Gen. John R. Bartley testify before the House Armed Services Committee on the status of the future combat systems program at 3 p.m. EDT in room 2118 Rayburn House Office Building.

Dr. Kaye Whitley, director sexual assault prevention and response office (SAPRO), will conduct a news media briefing today at 3 p.m. EDT in the DoD briefing room, 2E973 to discuss the fiscal 2008 Report on Sexual Assault in the Military.  Representatives from service SAPRO programs will be available to discuss service related issues.  The full report will be made available for Internet viewing at http//www.sapr.mil . Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the River Entrance only.

Pentagon Press Secretary Geoff Morrell will conduct a press briefing at Noon EDT in the DoD Briefing Room, 2E973.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the River Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.
