Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld has no public or media events on his schedule.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitzwill appear on PBS, "Newshour with Jim Lehrer" at 6:00 p.m. EST.

Army Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt, deputy director of operationsfor Coalition Joint Task Force 7,andDan Senor, senior advisor to the Coalition Provisional Authority, willconduct an operational update from Baghdad at9:15a.m.EST. This event can be viewed in the Press Briefing Room.

Maj.Gen. Martin Dempsey, 1st Armored Division Commander, will brief from Baghdad today at 9:45 a.m. EST in the DoD Brieifng Room, Pentagon 2E579. Media will be able to ask questions from Washington. Media without a Pentagon building pass should plan to arrive no later than 9:00 a.m. at the North Parking entrance.
