Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates and Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England have no public or media events on their schedules.

Secretary of the Air Force Michael Wynn and Chief of Staff USAF Gen. T. Michael Moseley testify at a hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee at 9:30 a.m. EDT in room SR-325, Russell Senate Office Building.

Acting Under Secretary of Defense Intelligence Robert Andrews testifies at a hearing of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence at 1 p.m. EDt in room H-405 U.S. Capitol.

Deputy Under Secretary of Defense Installations and Environment Philip Grone, Assistant Secretary of the Army Installations and Environment Keith Eastin, Assistant Secretary of the Navy Installations and Environment B.J. Penn and Assistant Secretary of the Air Force Installations, Environment and Logistics William C. Anderson testify at a hearing of the House Armed Services Committee at 1 p.m. EDT in room 2118 Rayburn House Office Building.

Maj. Gen Michael Barbero, Joint Staff, J-3, Deputy Director for Regional Operations will brief at 11 a.m. EDT in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon 2E579, to provide an update on ongoing security operations in Iraq.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only.   Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.   Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.
