Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Frank Kendall delivers remarks at the Precision Strike Association conference at 8 a.m. EDT on Better Buying Power in relation to the challenges faced by the precision strike community at Waterford at Springfield, Va. 

U.S. Northern Command and North American Aerospace Defense Command Commander Gen. Charles H. Jacoby, Jr., and U.S. Southern Command, Commander Gen. John F. Kelly testify before the House Armed Services Committee hearing on the Posture of the U.S. Northern Command and U.S. Southern Command at 10 a.m. EDT in room 2118, Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C. 

International Security Assistance Force Deputy Commander Lt. Gen. Nick Carter (British Army) briefs the media live from Afghanistan at 10:30 a.m. EDT in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2E973) to provide an update on progress and transition in Afghanistan. Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the River Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call 703-697-5131 for escort into the building.
