Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates delivers remarks at the change of command ceremony at noon EDT at Northern Command with Adm. Timothy Keating and Lt. Gen. Victor Renuart Jr., Peterson Air Force Base, Co. 

Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England has no public or media events on his schedule.

Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff General Peter Pace is traveling.

Under Secretary of the Air Force Ronald Sega  and Commander, Air Force Space Command Gen. Kevin Chilton testify at a hearing of the House Armed Services Committee at 9 a.m. EDT in room 2212 Rayburn House Office Building.

Army Col. Stephen M. Twitty, commander of the 4th Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division will brief live from Iraq at 9 a.m. EDT, March 23, in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon 2E579, to provide an update on ongoing security operations in Iraq.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.   Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.
