Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates hosts an honor cordon to welcome President of the Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus to the Pentagon today at 9 a.m. EST. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon Mall Entrance. Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 8:15 a.m. EST for escort to the cordon.
 
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates hosts an honor cordon to welcome Crown Prince and Commander-In-Chief of Bahrain Defense Force Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the Pentagon today at 1:30 p.m. EST. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon Mall Entrance. Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 12:45 p.m. EST for escort to the cordon.

Gen.  Benjamin Mixon, commander of Multi-National Division-North, will conduct a press briefing live from Iraq with the Pentagon press on current operations in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon room 2E579 at 0900 a.m. EST. Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 8:15 a.m. EST for escort to the cordon.
 
Amb. Timothy Carney (Coordinator for Economic Transition, U.S. Embassy Baghdad), Mr. Joseph P. Gregoire (Exec. Secretary, U.S. Embassy Baghdad), and Mr. Jermiah S. Pam (U.S. Financial Attaché to Iraq) will conduct a press briefing from Iraq on economic & reconstruction efforts at 1100 a.m. EST in the pentagon briefing room, 2E579.   Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 10:15 a.m. EST for escort to the briefing room.
