Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin E. Dempsey brief the media on President Barack Obama's fiscal 2014 defense budget proposal to Congress at 1 p.m. EDT in the Pentagon Press Briefing Room (2E973).  They will be immediately followed by Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller/CFO) Robert Hale and Lt. Gen. Mark Ramsay, director, force structure, resources and assessment, Joint Staff.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the River Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call 703-697-5131 for escort into the building.
