Today in the Department of Defense, April 14-16, 2001

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz are in Washington this weekend. There are no public or media events on their schedules.

The Defense Supply Service-Washington Small Business Conference 2001 on "How To Do Business with DSS-W" will be held April 16 - 17, at 2001 Crystal Gateway Marriott Arlington, Virginia. See the Army and DSS-W web sites for information.

The next regular DoD news briefing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 17, at 1:30 p.m. in the DoD briefing studio, Pentagon room 2E781. The briefer will be Rear Adm. Craig R. Quigley, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.

The Army's Division Capstone Exercise ends Saturday, April 14 at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, Calif. See the exercise web site (no longer available) for details.
