Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld is in Washington today. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz will speak at the 50th anniversary dinner of the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services (DACOWITS) today at 8 p.m. in Vienna, Va. The Naval Reserve is hosting a media day today at Naval Air Station / Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas, in connection with tomorrow's delivery of its first C-40A "Clipper" logistics aircraft. See the press advisory for details.

The U.S. Army Brass Band is hosting the 2001 North American Brass Band Association championships today and tomorrow at Ft. Myer and George Mason University, Va. The next regular DoD news briefing is scheduled for Tuesday April 24, at 1:30 p.m. in the DoD briefing studio, Pentagon room 2E781. The briefer will be Rear Adm. Craig R. Quigley, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.

SecDef to Host Honor Cordon for MoD of Spain Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld will host an honor cordon to welcome Minister of Defense Federico Trillo, of Spain, to the Pentagon at 2 p.m. EST, Monday, April 23, 2001.

The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance.
