Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England have no public or media events on their schedules.

Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Asian and Pacific Affairs, Richard Lawless, and Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Installations and Environment, Philip Grone, will discuss the recent progress in the realignment initiatives that the U.S. and Japan announced in the 2005 Security Consultative Committee Report. The press availability will be at 3:30 p.m. today in the DoD Press Briefing Studio 2E579. Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be met at the North Parking Entrance only.
