The Secretary of Defense is in Washington today. Secretary Cohen will host honor cordon to welcome Miinister of National Defense of Columbia. See press advisory for details.
The Deputy Secretary of Defense is in Washington today. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

The Department's Legislative Affairs Office maintains a separate Congressional Schedule of Events.

The regular Department of Defense news briefing will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. in the Pentagon briefing studio, room 2E781. The briefer will be Mr. Kenneth H. Bacon, assistant secretary of defense for public affairs.
