Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld will host a full honor arrival ceremony to welcome King Abdullah II of Jordan today at 11 a.m. at the Pentagon. See the press advisory for details.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz is in Washington today. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

The next regular DoD news briefing is scheduled for today at 1:30 p.m. in the DoD briefing studio, Pentagon room 2E781. The briefer will be Rear Adm. Craig R. Quigley, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.

Secretary of the Navy (Acting) Robert B. Pirie's visit to the Navy and Marine Corps Commands in Southern California ends today. See the press advisory for details.

SecDef to Host Full Honor Arrival Ceremony for MoD of India Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld will host a full honors arrival ceremony to welcome Minister of Defense Jaswant Singh, of India, to the Pentagon at 3 p.m. EDT, Friday, April 6, 2001.

The ceremony will be held on the River Parade Field of the Pentagon.
