DOD IDENTIFIES MARINE CASUALTY The Department of Defense announced today that Cpl. Erik H. Silva, 22, of Chula Vista, Calif., was killed in action in Iraq Thursday.

Silva was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, based at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
