Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates welcomes to the Pentagon First Lady Michelle Obama at 11:15 a.m. The First Lady will visit the Department of Defense, her 16th agency visit, to thank military and civilian employees for their service to the nation. The event is not open to the public.
 
Deputy Secretary of Defense William J. Lynn has no public or media events on his schedule.
