Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld is traveling.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz hosts an honor cordon to welcome Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Jaap de Hoop Scheffer to the Pentagon at 3:15 p.m. EDT. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance. Media must be at the River Entrance no later than 2:45 p.m. for the cordon.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard B. Myers will depart Andrews Air Force Base, Md., Thursday, May 1, 2003, for Colorado Springs, Colo. Myers will be the guest speaker at the U.S. Air Force Academy's Ira C. Eaker Distinguished Lecture program. See press advisory for details.
