UPDATE:  Today's press briefing with Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin E. Dempsey is being rescheduled. 

Deputy Secretary of Defense Ashton B. Carter hosts an honor cordon to welcome Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to the Pentagon at 3:15 p.m. EDT.  The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the Pentagon River Parking Pedestrian Bridge only.  Plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call 703-697-5131 for escort to the cordon.

Sheehan testify at a hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee on the law of armed conflict, the use of military force, and the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force at 9:30 a.m. EDT, in room SD-106, Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.
