Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta hosts an honor cordon to welcome Israel’s Minister of Defense Ehud Barak to the Pentagon at 9:45 a.m. EDT.  The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the Pentagon River Parking Pedestrian Bridge only.  Plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call 703 697-5131 for escort to the cordon.

The Air Force will conduct an on-camera media roundtable with Distinguished Flying Cross Medal recipients (two each) Maj. John B. Creel and Col. Senior U.S. Government and DoD leaders, members of Congress, and invited guests will attend a Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) Induction Ceremony in the Pentagon Courtyard at 2 p.m. EDT. Invited guests include members of Congress, Joining Forces Advisory Board, Senior DoD leaders, Service Secretaries, Military Service Senior Enlisted Advisors and their spouses, and 20 MSEP-employed military spouses with their Service member spouse.  More than 30 new partner businesses will be inducted into the MSEP.
