The Secretary of Defense is in Washington today. Secretary Cohen will host a full honors arrival ceremony for MoD Flahaut of Belgium. See the press advisory for more details.

The Deputy Secretary of Defense is in Washington today. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

The regular Department of Defense news briefing will be conducted today at 1:30 p.m. in the Pentagon briefing studio, room 2E781. The briefer will be Mr. Kenneth H. Bacon, assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.

The Department's Legislative Affairs Office maintains a separate Congressional Schedule of Events.
