Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates delivers remarks at the Hilton Anatole Hotel at noon CDT at 2201 Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas

Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England has no public or media events on his schedule.

Secretary of the Navy Donald Winter and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Michael Mullen testify at a hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee at 2:30 p.m. in room SR-222, Russell Senate Office Building.

Commander U.S. Central Command Adm. William Fallon testifies at a hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee at 9:30 EDT in room SD-106, Dirksen Senate Office Building.

Deputy Director for Operations, Joint Staff Brig. Gen. Perry Wiggins will brief at 3 p.m. EDT in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E579, to provide an update regional operations.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.
