Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates will deliver remarks at 11 a.m. EDT at the National Memorial Day Observance after conducting a wreath-laying ceremony with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery, Va.

Deputy Secretary of Defense William J. Lynn has no public or media events on his schedule.

Adm. Mullen delivers remarks at 9 a.m. EDT at the Memorial Day Ceremony at the World War II Memorial, Washington, D.C.

The National Memorial Day Parade will take place at 2 p.m. EDT along Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C. The parade will be streamed live at http://www.pentagonchannel.mil.
