Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld is in Washington today. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz will speak today at 11:50 a.m. at the American Jewish Committee's annual meeting in Washington. See the press advisory for details.

The Commander In Chief's Award for Installation Excellence will be presented today at 3:15 p.m. in the Pentagon Center Courtyard. See the press advisory and news release for details.

The next regular DoD news briefing is scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. in the DoD briefing studio, Pentagon room 2E781. The briefer will be Rear Adm. Craig R. Quigley, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.

The NATO exercise Adventure Express/Dynamic Response 2001 continues through May 10 in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo and Albania. See the NATO news release for details.
