Today in the Department of Defense, May 5-7, 2001

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz are in Washington this weekend. There are no public or media events on their schedules.

The next regular DoD news briefing is scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. in the DoD briefing room, Pentagon 2E781. The briefer will be Rear Adm. Craig R. Quigley, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.

The NATO exercise Adventure Express/Dynamic Response 2001 continues through May 10 in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo and Albania. See the NATO news release for details.

The combined U.S., Australian and Canadian exercise Tandem Thrust continues through May 29 in the Shoalwater Bay Training Area of Australia. See the news release for details.
