Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates will speak at Peterson AFB, Colo., at 8:30 a.m. MDT. Remarks only are open to the media. Journalists wishing to attend must arrive at the West Gate Visitor's Center no later than 6:15 a.m. Please call the Air Force Space Command Public Affairs office at 719-337-0640 or the 21st Space Wing Public Affairs office at 719-359-1637 for more information and to access to the event.

Gates will speak at Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB, Ill., at 1 p.m. CDT.  Remarks only are open to the media..  Journalists wishing to attend must arrive at the Scott-Shiloh MetroLink station entrance no later than 11:45 a.m.  Please call the 375th Airlift Wing Public Affairs office at (618) 256-4241/4206 for more information on access to the event.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England has no public or media events on his schedule.

Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Michael Mullen delivers remarks at Coast Guard Foundation at 6:30 p.m. at the National Building Museum, 401 F Street N.W. Washington, DC 20001.
