Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld will host an honor cordon today at 9:45 a.m. EDT to welcome Minister of Defense Andre Flahaut, of Belgium, to the Pentagon. See the press advisory for details.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz and the service secretaries will conduct a briefing on DoD management today at 1 p.m. EDT in the DoD briefing room, Pentagon 2E781. See the press advisory for details.

BaltOps 2001, a multinational maritime exercise, continues through today in the Baltic Sea. See the European Command web page for details. [link no longer available]

Western Pacific Mine Countermeasures Exercise 2001, a 15-nation maritime exercise hosted by Singapore, continues through June 22 in the Western Pacific. See the Seventh Fleet news release for details.

The 44th Paris Air Show continues through June 24 at Le Bourget in Paris, France. See the European Command web page for details.

DepSecDef to Host Honor Cordon for Minister of Foreign Affairs for Pakistan Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz will host an honor cordon to welcome Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdul Sattar of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to the Pentagon at 2:00 p.m. EDT, June 19, 2001.

The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance....
