Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta has no public or media events on his schedule. 

Deputy Secretary of Defense Ashton B. Carter will visit Joint Base Charleston for briefings on space and naval warfare systems, as well as Army strategic logistics, and to thank military members and Department of Defense civilians for their service.  Deputy Secretary Carter will make remarks during an event with service members at 2:50 p.m. EDT.  Media interested in covering this event, should call Joint Base Charleston Public Affairs at 843-412-3210 by Sunday, June 17 at 7 p.m. EDT.  Access to the event will be limited to those members of the media who have RSVP'ed prior to the deadline.
