Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates and Deputy Secretary of Defense William J. Lynn have no public or media events on their schedules. 

Thomas R. Lamont will be sworn in as assistant secretary of the Army for manpower and reserve affairs, Department of the Army, Department of Defense, at 2:30 p.m. EDT, June 26 in the Pentagon Auditorium. The Secretary of the Army Pete Geren will preside.  The ASA (M and RA) oversees the Army's civilian and military personnel interests for the active and reserve components.  This is a photo/video opportunity only.  There will be no question and answer period.  Media interested in covering the event should contact to Toni DeLancey, Public Affairs Officer, ASA (M and RA) and Army G-1 at (703) 692-1281.  Media should plan to arrive NLT 1:45 p.m. in the auditorium for set up.
