Secretary Leon E. Panetta and Deputy Secretary of Defense Ashton B. Carter have no public or media events on their schedules.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin E. Dempsey conducts a town hall meeting regarding U.S. Strategic Command at 4:30 p.m. EDT (3:30 p.m. CDT) at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb.

Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Installations and Environment Dr. Dorothy Robyn is the keynote at the ACCO Defense, National Security and Climate Change Workshop on National Security and Climate Change: Building Resilience and Identifying Opportunities Related to Water, Energy and Extreme Events at 8:30 a.m. EDT at Caucus Room of the U.S. House of Representatives’ Cannon Office Building, in Washington D.C.
