Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates will make an announcement at 4 p.m. EDT in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon 2E579.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call 703-697-5131 for escort into the building.

Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates will participate in the ground-breaking ceremony for the National Intrepid Center of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury on Thursday, June 5th at 10 a.m., EDT at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Md.  Media interested in covering this event should call Amy Rohlfs at (301) 295-5727 or email her at amy.rohlfs@med.navy.mil no later than 8:30 a.m. on June 5 and have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.
