The Secretary of Defense participates in opening ceremonies today for the National D-Day Museum in New Orleans. For details see the press advisory.

The Deputy Secretary of Defense is in Washington today. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

The regular Department of Defense briefing will be conducted today at 1:30 p.m. in the Pentagon briefing studio, room 2E781. The briefer will be Rear Adm. Craig R. Quigley, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.

The Department's Legislative Affairs Office maintains a separate Congressional Schedule of Events.
