Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld participates in a question and answer session at the Frontiers of Freedom Institute conference on missile defense today at 12:10 p.m. EDT in Senate Conference Room 5. Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz and Air Force Lt. Gen. Ronald T. Kadish, director of the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization, testify today at 9:30 a.m. EDT at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on missile defense. See the Congressional schedule of events for details.

Secretary of the Army Thomas E. White and Army Chief of Staff Gen. Eric K. Shinseki will announce the locations of the next four Interim Brigade Combat Teams today at 12:30 p.m. EDT in the DoD briefing room, Pentagon 2E781. This will be a single-subject briefing on the teams and Army transformation. See the Army news release for details.

A regular Department of Defense news briefing will be conducted today at 1:30 p.m. in the DoD briefing room, Pentagon 2E781. The briefer will be Rear Adm. Craig R. Quigley, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.
