Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates provides remarks at the U.S. Global Leadership Campaign Tribute Dinner at 7 p.m. EDT at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, 1150 22nd Street, NW, Washington, D.C.  Media interested in covering the event should contact Matthew Corso at (202) 730-4153.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England has no public or media events on his schedule.

Missile Defense Agency director Lt. Gen. Henry A. “Trey” Obering III will conduct a briefing on the status of missile defense at 11 a.m. EDT, in the Pentagon Briefing Studio, Pentagon 2E579.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.
