Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates serves as guest speaker and reviewing officer for Navy recruit graduation at 9 a.m. CDT at Recruit Training Command (RTC) Great Lakes, Ill. The event is open to the media. Secretary Gates also holds a media availability at noon CDT at the USS Arizona barracks at RTC Great Lakes.

Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates delivers remarks at an Army Farewell Review in honor of Secretary of the Army Pete Geren at 5:30 p.m. EDT on Whipple Field at Fort Myer, Va. The event is open to the media.
