Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeldhosts an honor cordon to welcome Poland's Minister of National Defense Jerzy Szmajdzinski to the Pentagon at 11:30 a.m. EDT. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance. Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 11 a.m. EDT for escort to the cordon. There will be a media availability at 12:35 p.m.

Acting Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England has no public or media events onhis schedule.

Legal Advisor for Military Commissions Brig. Gen. Thomas L. Hemingway will conduct a press conference concerning Military Commissionsin the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E579at10:30 a.m. EDT. Media representatives who do not have a Pentagon building pass and wish to cover this event should arrive at the Pentagon's North Parking Entrance no later than9:45 a.m. for an escort.
