Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz is in Washington. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

Senior officials of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency will conduct a background briefing at 1 p.m. EDT, in the Defense Department Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E781. The purpose of the briefing is to provide information on the large-scale chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear training exercise scheduled to be held at the Pentagon Thursday, July 24. Additional details on this exercise will be announced later. See press advisory for details.
