President George W. Bush, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and U.S. Administrator of Iraq Paul Bremer will issue a statement at 10 a.m. on Iraq from the Rose Garden at theWhite House.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz will conduct a briefing at 11 a.m. EDT in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E781 to discuss his recent trip to Iraq. See press advisory for details.

Wolfowitz also hosts an honor cordon to welcome Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Yusuf Kalla to the Pentagon at 1 p.m. EDT. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance. Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 12:30 p.m. EDT for escort to the cordon.

Gen. John M. Keane, acting Chief of Staff of the Army, and Maj. Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, Vice Director for Operations, J-3, The Joint Staff, will conduct a briefing at 2:30 p.m. EDT in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E781 to discuss plans to rotate forces supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq. Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, commanding general, CJTF-7, will conduct a satellite-videoteleconference briefing live from Baghdad at 8 a.m. EDT in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E781. Media representatives without a Pentagon building pass who are interested in attending this event must have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification and be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance by 7:30 a.m. Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.
