Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen is in Washington. On July 24 at 10 a.m. he will host a full honors arrival ceremony to welcome Minister of Defense Serzh Sarkisyan of Armenia. A media availability will follow at 11 a.m. See the advisory for details.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon is traveling in Europe through July 26. His schedule includes meetings with a variety of French and British government and business leaders.

Peaceshield 00, a multinational peacekeeping exercise hosted by Ukraine, continues through July 22. See the web page for details. [link no longer available]

The first CV-22, the special operations-modified version of the V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft, will be unveiled and rolled out on July 25 in Ft. Worth, Texas. See the advisory for details.

Joint Warrior Interoperability Demonstration 2000 continues through July 28. See the news release for details.

The Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services is visiting military commands and meeting with servicemembers in Italy, Spain, Germany, Jordan and Kosovo through July 29. See the news release for details.
