Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen is in Washington. Today at 10 a.m. Secretary Cohen will host an arrival ceremony at the Pentagon for Pavol Kanis, minister of Defense of the Slovak Republic. A joint media availability will follow at 11 a.m. See the advisory for details.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon is in Washington. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

The Department of Defense 50th Anniversary of the Korean War Commemoration Committee will host a ribbon cutting ceremony today at 1 p.m. in the Pentagon. See the advisory for details.

Joint Warrior Interoperability Demonstration 2000 continues through July 28. See the news release for details.

The Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services is visiting military commands and meeting with servicemembers in Italy, Spain, Germany, Jordan and Kosovo through July 29. See the news release for details.

SecDef Hosts Full Honor Arrival Ceremony for the President of the Philippines Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen will host a full honors arrival ceremony to welcome President Joseph Estrada, of the Republic of the Philippines, to the Pentagon at 8:30 a.m. EDT, Thursday, July 27, 2000.
