Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld is out of town and Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz is in Washington today. There are no public or media events on their schedules.

A regular Department of Defense news briefing will be conducted today at 1:30 p.m. EDT in the DoD briefing room, Pentagon 2E781. The briefer will be Rear Adm. Craig R. Quigley, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.
