Today in the Department of Defense, July 4-5, 2001

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld is out of town Wednesday and in Washington on Thursday. Both Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz is in Washington both days. There are no public or media events on their schedules.

The next regular Department of Defense news briefing will be conducted on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. EDT in the DoD briefing room, Pentagon 2E781. The briefer will be Rear Adm. Craig R. Quigley, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.
