Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen will host an honor cordon at the Pentagon at 11 a.m. EDT today to welcome Minister of Foreign Affairs Yahia of the Republic of Tunisia. See the advisory for details.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon is in Washington today. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

The annual awards ceremony for the Defense Standardization Program (DSP) will be held today in Arlington, Va., at 1 p.m. EDT. See the advisory for details.

The next intercept test of the National Missile Defense program is scheduled to take place between 10 p.m. EDT tonight and 2 a.m. EDT tomorrow morning. Lt. Gen. Kadish will brief reporters in the Pentagon approximately 60 minutes after the target launch. See the advisory for details.

Cornerstone 00-1, a combined engineering exercise with Moldova, continues through late August. See the news release for details.

The leadership seminar conducted by the Africa Center for Strategic Studies in Gaborone, Botswana, continues through July 14. See the news release for details.
