Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen is in Washington today. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon is in New York City today. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

The regular Department of Defense news briefing will be conducted today at 1:30 p.m. in the Pentagon briefing studio, room 2E781. The briefer will be Kenneth H. Bacon, Assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.
