 Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta and Deputy Secretary of Defense William J. Lynn have no public or media events on their schedules.

 Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen delivers remarks at 10 a.m. EDT at the retirement review in honor of Army Gen. Walter L. (Skip) Sharp at Summerall Field, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Arlington, Va.  Media interested in covering the ceremony will need proof of affiliation, two forms of photo identification, proof of vehicle insurance and current registration.  The Military District of Washington PAO will greet media at the Hatfield Gate between 8:30 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. 

 Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus holds a press briefing with the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels at 10 a.m. EDT at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Md.  Media should contact Navy PA at 703-697-5342.

 Col. Brian Winski, commander of 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, will brief the media live from Iraq at 9 a.m. EDT, in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2E973) to provide an overview of U.S. training efforts with the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) during Operation New Dawn and the ISF's capabilities in northern Iraq.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the River Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call 703-697-5131 for escort into the building.
