Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates will host the Pentagon Sept. 11 Memorial observance for family members of those who perished in the Sept. 11 attack on the Pentagon.  The Memorial observance will be open for interested media to cover.  Live shots will not be available at the ceremony site prior to the 9:30 a.m. ceremony.  See press advisory for details.
 
On Wednesday, Ambassador Ryan C. Crocker, U.S. ambassador to Iraq and Gen. David H. Petraeus, commanding general, Multinational Force-Iraq will hold a news conference on the current status of conditions in Iraq at 9 a.m. EDT, Sept. 12, at the National Press Club, Holeman Lounge, 13th Floor, 529 14th Street, NW, Washington D.C.  For more information, call (202) 662-7510.
